Quick Start Guide

Get up and running with Herp-Ops in just a few minutes. This guide will walk you through creating your account and adding your first reptile.

Step 1: Sign In

Navigate to app.herpops.com and click Sign In. You can sign up using:

• Google account
• Email and password

After signing in for the first time, you'll be asked to accept the terms of service.

Step 2: Navigate the Dashboard

Once signed in, you'll see your dashboard with several sections:

• Reptiles - Your collection overview
• Reminders - Upcoming feeding schedules and care tasks
• Enclosures - Housing management
• Feeder Inventory - Track your feeder supply
• Analytics - View trends and insights

Step 3: Add Your First Reptile

1. Click Reptiles in the navigation menu
2. Click the + Add Reptile button
3. Fill in the details:
   • Name - What you call your reptile
   • Species - e.g., "Bearded Dragon", "Ball Python"
   • Morph (optional) - e.g., "Normal", "Leatherback"
   • Date of Birth (optional) - For age tracking
   • Sex - Male, Female, or Unknown
4. Click Save

Step 4: Set Up a Feeding Schedule

From your reptile's detail page, you can set up automatic feeding reminders:

1. Click on the reptile you just created
2. Scroll to the Feeding Schedules section
3. Click Add Schedule
4. Set the frequency (e.g., "Every 3 days")
5. Add notes about feeder type and quantity

Herp-Ops will now track when your reptile is due for feeding and alert you if a feeding is overdue.
