Inventory Best Practices
For Live Feeders
- Track die-off rates - Adjust orders based on survival
- Note care requirements - Temperature, humidity, food
- Set reorder points - Know when to buy more
- Document suppliers - Track quality and reliability
For Frozen Feeders
- Track purchase dates - Monitor freezer storage time
- Note sizes on hand - Ensure variety for different reptiles
- Plan bulk orders - Calculate usage over time
Calculate Usage
Use your feeding logs to estimate weekly/monthly feeder consumption:
- Review your feeding schedule dashboard
- Count total feeders per week across all reptiles
- Add 10-20% buffer for die-off (live feeders)
- Order accordingly to maintain stock
Notes Field Usage
The notes field is great for tracking:
- Supplier information - Who you buy from, when, how much
- Quality notes - Problems with specific batches
- Care instructions - How you maintain live feeders
- Cost tracking - Price per unit or bulk pricing
⚠️ Feeder Care Reminder
Healthy feeders make healthy reptiles! Gut-load insects before feeding and ensure proper storage conditions. Use the notes field to track your gut-loading schedule and feeder care routine.
